HOW WE WORK

A clear path.
A considered outcome.

Design is a sequence of decisions. Our process makes those decisions visible, with space for conversation, testing and careful resolution.

01

Discovery

Understand the place. Establish the priorities.

We listen to how you live, work or welcome people. A site visit and a careful review of the brief establish what the project needs to do. We discuss budget, programme and the information needed before design begins.

Brief workshop · Site review · Feasibility · Agreed scope

02

Concept

Explore the possibilities. Choose a direction.

We develop a small number of clear spatial ideas. Plans, studies and material references make the options tangible. Together, we choose a direction that balances the brief with the character of the site.

03

Design Development

Resolve the whole. Attend to the detail.

The preferred concept becomes a coordinated design. We work through structure, services, materials and the places where they meet, with the appropriate consultants. Regular reviews keep the design aligned with the project’s priorities.

Coordinated drawings · Material samples · Consultant input · Cost review

04

Delivery

Carry the intent through to the built work.

We support the project team with clear information and considered responses as the work progresses. Site reviews and the resolution of details help preserve the design intent. The exact construction-stage service is agreed for each commission.

WORKING TOGETHER

Good decisions take conversation.

We agree a programme at the outset and revisit it as the project develops. A focused interior study and a new building have different needs. Planning, specialist input and procurement all influence the timeline.

You will know what we are working on, which decisions are needed and what happens next. Reviews are prepared around clear questions, with enough information to make a useful choice.

A FEW QUESTIONS

Before the first sketch.

When should we involve an architect?

As early as there is a site, a building or a clear intention. Early advice can help test feasibility before major commitments are made.

Can we commission a single stage?

Yes. Design direction, feasibility and focused interior studies can be agreed as standalone scopes. The appropriate service depends on what you need to decide next.

How are fees and timelines established?

After an initial conversation, we define the scope, deliverables and programme. A proposal sets out the fee and responsibilities before work begins.

Do we need a complete brief to get in touch?

No. Tell us what you know and what remains uncertain. Establishing a useful brief is part of the first stage.

BEGIN A CONVERSATION

What could your space become?

Tell us about the place, the possibilities and what matters to you. We will take it from there.
